Windshield swap
Some repro parts sellers sell 'made in the USA' Carpenter w/strips, but some sell made in China crap that doesn't fit worth a damn.
Why doncha wait until it cools down, should be around 90...at midnight! My sister lives in Scottsdale, when she first moved there, I made the mistake of visiting her in August.
Not only was it hotter than hell, gazillions of gallons of rain poured down from the skies. Found out PDQ not to visit AZ during the 'monsoon' season.

The seal fits the glass perfectly. The groove where the stripping fits has the correct shape to retain the stripping ("L" shaped inside the groove) but again I can't get it to stay because it's too loosey goosey. B/O may have send the wrong seal. I don't have the bag any more because the fist glass outfit tossed it assuming there'd be no issue, but I do recall it having the correct description on the bag. No real way to tell now....
Thanks for all the help so far.
This is what I didn't do: Use a Fomoco nos seal.
I did use a DC seal. The seal goes on the glass, next, the stainless trim goes in, then the assembly goes in, with cord and dish soap etc etc. It won't go in easily because the DC rubber is an approximation, and in my opinion poor quality.

The glass outfit that pulled the window for me has disappeared, so I'm stuck at the beginning of monsoon with no one to install it. Might have found a guy to come out Friday, but until the window is back in place I'm holding my breath....
