Putting the truck to work

Been doing some projects around the house and there is only so much you can put in a minvan. Fired up the 52 last weekend and put it too work. Once in a while it has to earn its keep.

Love to see the trucks do what they were built to do!

Dennis, I'm curious about the bumper on your truck. Is that stock for the truck or from something else? The reason I ask is when my Father-In-Law sold his Ford franchise there were two or three bumpers like that one in the attic of his dealership. I saved them but never knew what they were for.

That is the ultra-rare and valuable '51-'52 rear bumper. You're sitting on a goldmine!

Dennis, you'll scratch the paint! You'll dent the tailgate! Most new F-150's have never seen a load like that!

Sorry for the thread hijack!

Ross the next time I see my Father-In-Law I'll get pictures of the bumpers. They might have license plate indents which I'm assuming is a car bumper? There is one in the ivory color and one or two chrome.

That bumper was on the truck when I got it. It had a hitch ball welded on it. I have another tailgate to put on it....someday. Scratch the paint, the rustoleum that was put on it in the 70's is flat, scratches dont bother me for now.
Someone put big eyebolts in the bed so they come in handy for tieing things off.

I was just teasing, Dennis. Can't do that kind of work with a show truck.

I have that same bumper in my garage waiting to be installed. I was thinking about new chrome bumpers. What makes that one valuable and what are they going for?

Thanks,

Oscar
