I just picked up a 10" concept and a 10" pheonix gold. I am wondering what kinda amp i should run for these. I think the guy said its about a 500W peak. He also said something else i can't member off the top of my head. Something with the gold being 4 ohms and the concept being 2. Think it was 4 channel on the gold and 2 on the concept, but he has the gold rigged at 2ohms?
I am curently useing an old Coustic 120 amp (was given to me as well as a deck and 2 6X9's for free)
Wondering how many channels, how many watts and how much room it will take. Almost outta room behind the seat :/
I would highly advise not using two different subs in your setup. The parameters of both are very different, and the resulting sound will be terrible. Was this a shop you bought these at? If so, go back and trade in the Concept and get another PG. The PG sub will be decent, seeing as they don't really make anything "bad". What is the model number on the PG? It should be somewhere near the bottom of the basket (either on the motor/magnet structure or backplate). Usually, the model number will denote the vc config. Without the vc config, we can't recommend an amp. I would just run one of those subs (I'd pick the PG). Find the model number first, though. Advice can't be given unless we know what impedance the amp needs to make power at.
So i will have to pull the PG out of the box to find that info? And i bought both of these off of a friend. I also have a kenwood sub i could swap with one of them but aint to thrilled about that. Will go check the info in a lil bit
