ok when i got almost anything over 40 my spedo needle will go nuts swinging all over back and fourth and occasionally stop at the correct speed and then keep going again. do i have to change my whole cluster and ifso what else do i have to factor in. mine is a 300 5spd 4-4. i know it needs to come from a manual truck and a gas truck but what yrs can i use it from and does motor size matter or if i use from a gas f250 or 350 and would it have to be from a 4-4 truck. need to know asap. thanks

thanks. the sensor wasnt gunked up it was a little rusty tho and i took the cover off to clean the gears and change the oil it didnt look to bud wasnt gunked up like i thought it was but i do think it needed the change and the cover was seaping a little.
