1995 F-150 Guage cluster problem

1995 F-150 Guage cluster problem
I have a 1995 F-150 4x4 xl model 300 i6 with the standard guage cluster.
I recently got a guage cluster out of another f150 from a junk yard with the tachometer. When I put it in the truck it started right up but later in the day the truck started to lose electrical power and it died on me. I put the
old cluster back in and it is fine now. Any advice. Thanks

Get one from same year.There aer many posts on it.
Basically its broke down by years
92-93
94-95 (and some none OBDII 96-97 (HD basically )
96-97
If you look on back of cluster there will be a serial # It will go for example F2 or FT2
or the like this will be the year . There r some crossovers between years due to date of build. Good luck sell the cluster on here they r going for over $50 in most cases on Ebay .
You can repin (rewire)But all light will not be in right position.

I have seen the wrong cluster trash a alt and other electrical s in the first drive. Good luck on search
