Guys, I know it sounds like lunacy to you all but I'm am not made of money and paying $2000+ for new heads is just never going to happen. I had to take a loan out to get the complete solution kit from Sinister. It will replace the old oil cooler, the EGR cooler with their bullet proof one, ARP studs, and the factory style head gaskets. that was $1400 in it's self.

I found a couple sets of heads from low mileage trucks that are going to be magnafulxed next week and the good ones will go back on. I know it's a risk but one I have no choice in taking.

I just have to hope that this makes the difference and gets it back on the road right. I may be able to get the stand pipes but that would be a huge leap.

You guys are great and
there are some decent folk in socal who might be able to help you.

above all else, don't have anything to do with orange county diesel
in huntington beach. just don't.

the guy who did my 6.0 out in chino, john at domestic diesel,
does mostly 6.0's, and is excellent. his position was to magnaflux
the heads, and if they needed to be redone, to have stellite valve
seats cut in, and be done with it. otherwise, clean 'em and put
them back on. you start welding up cracks, and it's like picking
flychit out of pepper. you will be there forever.

if you need a good head shop, PM me, and i'll get you the name
of the machine shop that did my heads. not every shop is good
at fixing these, just as not every diesel shop is good with 6.0's.

Regardless of how you get them, I'd highly recommend putting on a set of heads that are free of cracks and have been decked for flatness.
