I found a kit online with the sinister delete and new oil cooler and heads. Are these kits usually good? Oh! and should i attempt to do headstuds myself or is it better to have a shop do it thats going to mill?
Sorry im not a mechanic so i dont know how to use mechanical word the right way. I want to do a delete kit, in the process so i dont have problems later i would also like to do the oil cooler and head studs. The kit that I found has the arp's are those good? And should i get stock oil cooler or should i buy one from bulletproof diesel. Im doing both of my trucks so any last min. info so i get the right things would be great. Thanks agian/
I would use the stock oil cooler. Clean your coolant system really well before you do this. Then do the work, then fill the coolant system up with any ELC type coolant.
You can either buy a kit, or make your own delete.
ARP studs are very good if not the best out there.
I would go with the factory oil cooler but thats just me. I say that because where I live I want my oil to run at operating temps not colder which could happen with the Bulletproof oil cooler setup if the thermostat failed. If I lived down south I would probably go with the Bulletproof oil cooler if I had the cash.
