Exclamation possible warped heads

I have a 93 explorer and I have been told this particular model has aluminum heads. Does anyone have any idea what kind of cost I am looking at for replacing these? or is it even worth replacing...my truck has over 160,000 miles on it already.
Also I want to get some advice on if I do replace these how much will this weaken the other parts of the engine? and is it necessary to go aheah and replace the water pump when replacing the heads.
Thanks!

the real question is why do you need to change the heads? just because they are aluminum or because of a different problem.
160000 miles is just nicely broken in.

I agree with the previous post. What makes you think the heads are bad? You may just have a blown head gasket which is not uncommon. Many shops want you to spring for new heads as part of replacing the gaskets. If the valve train is quiet, and you didn't cook the motor/heads, I doubt if you need new heads. However, if you are thinking of having the heads rebuilt, you might want to consider new ones instead. I doubt if the price will be much different.
