I went post turbo.... Just my personal Preference.... I sure would hate for the tip of the pyro to bust off and chew my turbo.... If you know your temps post is fine (no higher than 950!!!!!!!)!!!!!!
I feel Pre turbo ya it gives you an instant reading out of the head... BUT only one side, and really doesnt give you a broad measurement... Your basically measuring ONE bank...
Post may be a bit delayed, BUT your measuring a mix of the exhaust coming out of the motor...
Pulling 9000lbs all day at hot highway speeds I have never seen higher than 700Deg F POST TURBO (unless heavy hill-climbs).... empty never past 550.... Infared thermometer tests prove my temp probe is accurate too!!!!!!!!
