How much?

Can anyone help me? I have a 1960 F-100 4x4 with a 292. The truck is all original runs great and has some rust damage. I would like to sell it but I have no idea of it's value. My question is how much?

The value of these trucks is all over the map depending on the condition.
Also location can make a difference.
The rust damage will have a big impact depending on how much.
If you can post some pictures the experts here can give you a better idea of what might be a good range of price to possibly expect.

As Joe posted, location plays a huge part in the value of a truck. Also, it's impossible to tell a value of a vehicle without personally inspecting it. The next best thing is pictures. You idea of the degree of damage can be greatly different than another person, especially a potential buyer.

Up here in the rust belt if the truck is drivable and the rust repairable it will be of higher value than the same truck if it's in the sunny dry southwest. There's been truck projects posted here on FTE by guys in the NE with rusty trucks that the guys in the SW wouldn't even look at. I'm currently working on rusty old 37 Buick that I know the guys in the SW would laugh there butts off at but I can't afford to drive 2000 miles to pick up a nearly rust free body.

Perhaps you could go on eBay or 'allofcraigs' for craigslist to get an idea of what similar trucks are bringing all across the country. Remember though that asking prices and the actual selling prices can be very different. Some eBay 'no reserves' are fakes too if the seller has someone else (or themselves with another account) bidding an item up. A running truck that is road worthy has to be worth a few (3 - 5) thousand dollars. Offer it on an on line auction starting at something reasonable and see where it goes.

But I got ta say becoming a supporter is the fastest and easiest way to post pics right from
your whatever pad/cell thing or home computer.
Few of us look in the users Gallery or album as you can see by your recent visitors.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
The best photos and videos | Photobucket

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.

There is also a separate '57 - '60 forum here that might be a better place to post: 1957 - 1960 F100 & Larger F-Series Trucks - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
