thats a little high for a truck that doesnt run and need rust work to the point that he/she was saying. i might have over paid on my truck alittle (800) but it ran and drove home with the major rust on the floor pans and bed. i would say 600+ but under 700 for it if thats even right
You have to consider the area too this is a SO CAL area truck... Rust is not that common around here, and the cost of living here is very high. I agree though it is high, but it is also a unibody too!
im in portland Oregon and i can get a unibody around here for under 800 minimim and 1500 to 2000 maximun and thats in great, no rust. its a nice truck but it needs more work then it will be worth. the great thing about these trucks is that the truck is worth what you want it to be. i have seen a 65 for 50k+ and that is because the owner put over 80k into it. if your thinking of buying it the question is, "is it worth it to you" thats the only question that matters. hell i paid 800 for mine and it will take 3k+ and it wont be worth it at the end but i dont care.
You would think that someone who lives in Hawaiian Gardens would know how to spell Hawaiian correctly.
While rust isn't common here in LA LA Land, this Uni has been parked outside for a looong time.
The salty marine layer (known at this time of the year as 'June Gloom') that rolls in during the night from off shore is one reason.
If not washed off on a regular basis, surface rust begins to form within a short time. I can just imagine what the drip rails look like. Most likely-Swiss Cheese.
In 2004, I bought a one owner 1963 Galaxie in Huntington Beach. It had been parked outside for at least 20 years.
The Rose Beige (pink!) paint was badly faded, every piece of chrome was pitted, the drip rails were his-tor-y.

Yeah no intention of buying this one! That is about what I paid for mine, and it was running pretty good at the time, it just needed a lot of cleaning. Three years later and a lot of work later, mine is pretty close to being pristine. I am still doing things to it, but mostly to make it nicer to drive, and increase the performance.
ND I agree with you on the spelling error, but after all look at where he lives, the Neighborhood is a little sketchy...
We have way too much time on our hands if we need to start nit picking a fellow members gramer don't ya think?
ND wasn't picking on a fellow member's Grammar, or for that fact his Grampar he was pointing out a spelling error, in a Craig's List Advertisement! Probably a typo, but the neighborhood that the ad was generated from is not a very good neighborhood, so it could be a blatant lack of education or edjamucation, which ever is appropo!
