Wiper delay governor delete.
I have an '88 F150 with the dreaded little governor box that gives everyone fits. The wipers have been sketchy for over a year now. I pulled the box and re-soldered all the contacts on the board, that helped for a while. Now the wipers may or may not come on at all, when they don't the governor makes a slight ticking noise.
I'm tired of fighting with it, delay wipers just aren't that big a deal to me. Can I just remove the governor and associated pigtails, buy a non-delay wiper switch and plug the wiring harness that the governor normally would attach to into the new switch?
If not I guess E-bay would be the best place to get one?
