who am I to hate? until I am paying his bills or supporting him I think I will keep my comments to myself.
I learned a long time ago that things aren't always what they seem , no matter how extraordinary, heroic or idiotic they may appear at first glance ( or on youtube). Who is to say he didn't just pull all those children in the back off of a sinking pontoon boat?
I've actually done something like this... but it wasn't voluntary. I had a rental car in Cancun, Mexico and an intense rain storm hit. The water was pooling everywhere, so I was slowly creeping down a divided road and trucks/buses would pass me. Every time they did, the rear end of the rental car would float up and I was "surfing" the wake from the larger vehicle. If it weren't for the weight of the engine, I would just be adrift over the road.
One really cool thing though: I saw this semi haulin' ***... way past the speed limit (as if this is rare in Mexico). He hit one of those lagoons in the road and it was quite the water show.
From some of the comments on youtube, thats one of the Great Lakes, and it sounds like a diesel when it pulls out, then theres a puff of black smoke. I bet that truck will be just fine. If I had 46s on Lake Michigan, Id drive in it too! Probably not quite that deep, though.
My first truck (89 F250 with a 300I6) I drove from when I got my license till I was 20. That truck seen more water than the titanic, mud, sand, trails, I beat the living daylights out of that truck and it took it every day!
Lots of things went through my brain during this, first being the fact that he better service those diffs :P but also, that would be fun!... in someone else truck. Kinda like a tractor pull, fun to watch or be a part of, but not when your the one with the bills coming monday morning.
We have a local mud bog here that I get great satisfaction out of watching folks tear up their rigs, and I mean really ruin them. Everything from purpose-built mud trucks, to brand new trucks right off the showroom floor. Who am I to tell them how to treat their stuff? But you sure as heck wouldn't find my truck out there.
Haha I too have forged water up to the door. Not in my 250, but a 92 land cruiser. Some warning lights came on, but it kept goin.
Haha, I too have forged lots of water crossings in Land Cruisers of all ages!

I actually ran the Batesburg mud run in a 75 Land Cruiser FJ40 I used to own many years ago, with street tires! And I made it all the way through, too. If you ever do it once, you will understand why those guys do it again and again. Its a rush, just like racing down a drag strip.
