Engine Teardown and Rebuild Question...
I was looking over at northernautoparts and they have a master rebuild kit:
Ford 360 1968-1976 Master Kit | Northern Auto Parts
Seems like a great deal with everyhing that you get. I was going to add the Felpro KS2307 upgrade option and also a cam upgrade but i'm not sure which one to pick. I don't even know the specs on the stock cam.
*edit* I was looking at the Comp 33-230-4 280/280 adv duration .530 .530 lift. Seems to be the middle of the choices.
I don't tow a lot with my truck it's more of a daily driver.
Would that be a good kit to go with or is there an even better one? My original thought was to just get the felpro kit and regasket everything but then I started thinking about it and decided I should probably change the bearrings and such too along with the timing gear.
Should i look into upgrading the springs as well?
You'll need to likely have your's hot tanked and bored if you rebuild it. You just don't buy a kit and replace parts.
So yours leaks. What condition is it in otherwise? Have you done a compression test or a leak down test?
Maybe all you need is some gaskets!
