Engine Rebuilt Kits
im looking to rebuild my 95 powerstroke soon and was wondering who makes the best and most complete rebuilt kits for our truck?
every kit ive found so far says cam and lifters not included. is it nessicary to replace the cam and lifters. . .ir only if they are worn out?
also, while i have the engine apart, what are some good upgrades? i know bigger injectors and a bigger pump is the best, and i may do this, but i dont even have it chipped yet. so what are some upgraded parts that i should put on the list during the rebuild?

it all depends on how crazy you plan on getting with your truck down the road.
i believe ih makes a very decent rebuild kit and its priced pretty decent if i remember correctly.
lukecline is in the middle of a rebuild on his maybe he can help..although his rebuild is a little more than the average.
how many miles are on your truck? is something wrong with it? have you done a compression test on it? these motors can go for a very long time with no rebuild so unless it has some problem i wouldnt touch it or waste the money.

i have a terribly loud rod knock. its a new development as well, i had a mechanic look at it and he said it probably wouldnt make it too much longer, so i would like to rebuild it befor it lets go and make a hold in the block.
ill look into the IH rebuild kits, thanks

Call Nick at 866-268-3192 for your rebuild kit, around 900 for pistons/ rings, all bearings (clevite), seals, gaskets, freeze plugs.... That price was even with lower compression mahle pistons which i hear they are out of. Very good to do business with and fast shipping.
