89 2.9l being a pain

hey guys, looking for opinions. I bought an 89 BII with a bad clutch, hole in fuel tank, and a few other minor things wrong. I was planning on putting a new clutch in (which I have) and running it till she pukes then throwing 302 into it from one of my other full size trucks. started pulling tranny and hit a stripped bolt in the top passenger side of the bell housing. I left it there and did everything else that needed to be done to pull it (driveshafts are off, crossmembers, everything) and now im back to the stripped bolt. I have tipped the motor and tranny every way to gain access to it but i still cant get enough room to smash the next smaller socket on. im at the point where im just going to rip the whole motor out to get to that one bolt. question is if i do that why not throw the 5.0, 5spd transmission, transfer, and wiring from my 94 half ton in it? I spent some time looking for what is needed and everyone says you need all kinds of adapters and whatnot. If i put a 2 or 3 inch body lift on it wouldnt that give me enough room for all the half ton parts? i can make the motor and tranny mount brackets no problem and if it all fits only thing left are drivshafts and cooling correct? any input would be appreciated. another thing, the 5.0 is EFI, but would swapping it to carbed make the process smoother?

cut a round hole through the floor/toe board area to gain straight access to the bolt. Then fill the hole with a rubber plug of the appropriate size.

Bottle jack against the tailshaft and floorboard and push the trans/engine assenlby down making more room above the bellhousing and you should be able to reach up with a cut-off wheel and remove the bolt head.
