OBTW bought the Cab too! No rust but several holes for the pump controls! Gotta love those old gas trucks converted to fire trucks

A big thanks to crazy wheel he found it for me!

A pair of good '56 doors? You scored ok. Asking price in this area for those doors is one thousand dollars.

Couldn't believe I only paid $250.00 for both. Everything in the last picture was $340.00

Cab (no Rust) was $300.00 with glass and dash in tack. Pretty clean grill with V8 for $100.00.

I've got more than enough to get my 56 back looking good!

Glad you scored the parts!

You might as well buy the front fenders for extras.
Hope you never need them, but you never know.

As the ole saying goes. I get up in the morning with nothing to do and go to bed in the evening only half through.

Retirement allows me to be able to ENJOY this crazy hobby/passion/obsession I had to put on hold for 30 plus years And I gotta lot of catching up to do

They are for the Big trucks with larger openings in the wheel wells for the larger wheels. I think he wanted $175.00 for both. One is in great shape the other has some minor damage.
Thanks again for the lead! Even if it was 3 hours and 45 minutes away. It was a nice drive and a great day to go parts hunting.

Nice score.
I was telling my mother in law as we were up working on her farm up in North Missouri (Where I got my truck) My youngest is 8 so 15 years for school and 5 years to recover. I should be ready to focus on the truck in 20 years.

Of course my son was saying at the ball games yesterday that he will be driving the truck when he is 16. He is 14 now...I told him the way I'm going, his kids will be able to drive it.

I hear ya! Kids, Army, Boomarag kids! Grandkids all kept me away. I was lucky that I had a place to store them, although someone treated themselves to "FREE" parts.
The funny thing is most of the vendors that I had catalogs for back in the day, no longer exist. And we now have Internet. I remember having to write a company and then wait for their answer!!!
