hi ,
i am having trouble with my 6.0.
210 k miles, egr delete
doesnt get boost until 2500 rpm
i am hoping someone can guide me tru what to look for when using ae to diagnose source of problem.
at one time the no boost issue would not surface until i drove it a ways, like 60 miles then shut it off and restarted it.
Thanks
Are you getting any DTC ? you can Use AE to actuate Vgt make to make sure it's moving. Then the egr you can see actual and commanded. If you don't see anything obvious I'm sure some one will be along and they will ask you to post some other values

With regard to how the delete was done, may or may not have an EGR valve to actuate. Even if he does with the delete that he has, it should be welded off to where it's functioning, but not really doing anything, it's out of the loop.
In that case, I would be looking to see what EGT values he is getting. If they skyrocket while he is trying to build boost. Lack of power, EGR being messed with, always has me thinking up pipes first.
I don't have AE but I think you can command VGT (turbo) to boost while monitoring Map (intake manifold pressure) and EBP (exhaust pressure). If one increases and the other doesn't, suspect the non working one. If neither changes much suspect turbo issues.
MAP, EBP, should be close (+or- .5) of Baro with the key on engine off to verify sensors are ok to start with. Numbers may seem way off as displayed but be sure of the scale psi vs kpa for example.
You may want to check/clean MAP hose and fitting on passenger side intake manifold runner. Also check/clean EBP sensor and hard line coming from driver side exhaust manifold.
does anyone know where to command vgt using AE
i see where i can "open" or "close" it, but no control in %
Testing the duty cycle and/or for turbo fault, you are going to need to access the enhanced powertrain module and go into the testing tab and find the corresponding test that you want to perform.
