1995 speedo help

I have just acquired a 1995 f250. the speedometer was fried, circuit board is burned. now to the question:

I have a leftover gauge cluster from a 91. is it possible to run a cable and drive the older gauge cluster, I cannot find a location on the trans or transfer case to add the cable. it is a zf s5-42 manual.

not possible at all. The 91 has a cable driven speedo and the 95 should be controlled by a sensor in the rear axle.

You need a cluster from a 95-96 if I'm not mistaken because clusters where 92-93 94 95-97 specific might be 92-93 94 95 96-97 somebody might chim in or do a search
