Ahh, if only it were that simple. It's a common misconception that the diagnostic codes tell a person what is wrong with a vehicle. If that were the case, they would be "repair" codes rather than "diagnostic" codes. The code simple states that the diagnostic system has identified and out of specification condition in a particular system. In the case of the P0743, that identifies an issue in the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) system. Per the service manual, possible causes could be related to the internals of the transmission, a solenoid issue, the power to the solenoid, or possibly a PCM.
More diagnostics will be required to identify the source of the diagnostic code. You might start though by confirming the related fuses are not blown. Of course if you find one that is blown, it's probably blown because of an issue and simply replacing the fuse will not actually fix the issue.
