cab corner brace
So I removed the front cab corner today and was surprised to see a brace which also holds the lower fender bolt. Not sure how I would have been able to remove the corner and leave this brace but now I have to duplicate it . Thinking about just bending up a piece of sheet metal and welding it to the inside of the new cab corner. I am open to suggestions. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mid fifty sells those fender braces that run from the top of the fender to the rear of the fender. I had the same issue. You can purchase the ready made brace, cut it, then weld it to the portion of the brace left in the truck. To do this, the sheet metal on the fender must be removed over the brace far enough to weld the replacement part of the brace to the original part of the brace. The replacement braces are very reasonable in cost.
