Engine pressure
the pump hits the block push the pump downward and have a bolt ready to start into the bolt hole, tighten only a couple of threads. May have to move pump around a little to get second bolt started. Don't tighten first bolt until after second bolt is started and then tighten 19 to 27 ft#'s. make sure you have gasket sealer on gasket. heavy duty wheel bearing grease works just as well, then next time it has to be replaced you don't have to scrape of old hardened sealer. As for the flow test after you start getting fuel up the the carb. put a container there to catch the fuel, have someone crank the engine (make sure coil wire is disconnected ) and see how muck fuel you get into the container. the book says it should be 1 pt. in 20 seconds. hope these pic. help you understand. fuel pump rocker arm has to sit under camshaft eccentric.[IMG]
