I bought a 2003 Navigator with 96,000 miles about a month ago. Yesterday the low oil pressure light came on for a second when I started it and a low pressure alarm is on in the message center. I checked the oil and it is at the proper level. It runs fine. I plan to change the oil this weekend. Is this something I need to be concerned about? Thanks for the help.
After talking more with my wife this happened when the Navigator was not running and she was listening to the radio. There is no oil pressure if the engine isn't running. I'm not sure why it showed up in the message center.

It's because she turned the key forward to ignition, instead of backwards to accessory. The accessory position is highly preferred when listening to the radio because it doesn't power-up the engine controls, heater controls, as well as many other electrical circuits. It also doesn't drain the battery as much.
