OT: Electrical Gurus!

This is truck related, I just dont want to say how until I finish the project!

Is there a way to make a momentary switch cycle through circuits.

What I need is to press the momentary switch and have it switch to from Circuit one, then two, then three, etc. There doesnt need to be constant power to the selected circuit, just a pulse.

How do you want to do this? One push one step or one push to start a cycle of steps?
The one push one step can be done with a stepper relay. A cycle type would need some
type of driver circuit. I have some ideas on how to do both if you want to chat about it.

If you don't mind doing it with electronic one easy way would be the Arduino
It's easy to program and does not need that much electronics background
to do something this simple.

Send me a PM and maybe we can talk about it on the phone if your want.
The phone means less typing and less spell checking.

4 steps.

Basically I have a momentary switch and a device that has for signal wires. My goal is to push the momentary switch and trigger one signal wire. With another push it would change to the next signal wire.

12 volts indeed.

I found this using your term "Switch Relay"

Amazon.com: Sainsmart 5V 4-Channel Solid State Relay Board for Arduino Uno Duemilanove MEGA2560 MEGA1280 ARM DSP PIC: Computers & Accessories Amazon.com: Sainsmart 5V 4-Channel Solid State Relay Board for Arduino Uno Duemilanove MEGA2560 MEGA1280 ARM DSP PIC: Computers & Accessories

To my untrained eye it should work, but I keep seeing control boards referenced.

Grrrrrrr Stupid Comcast keeps going down and taking my network connection with it

That would do it.
There is also a device called a stepper relay that each pulse gives you one step
until you reach the reset point and it starts all over again. No electronics involved
in that type. The OLD phone systems worked that way. I think if you can get a 4
step relay that would save you any programming. The down side is expandability
that you get with an electronic unit.

Sean
NOTE : You can also add a reset button and reset an any point.

With the item I posted will I need to do programming?

That latching relay looks like it should work.

The Arduino needs programming to make any relay board work.
The last one I posted is a stepper relay and it does not need any programming.
