When taking apart my 390 in my 75 dentside it was "just gonna be a week or so". Well, two years later I am lost! Forgot to take pics of how the A/C, idler pulleys and PS brackets are supposed to be mounted. Does anyone have pics or a diagram? I have searched the interweb, this site, fordification site and all to no real avail. Found some pics but nothing clear enough to help. Please??? Thanks everyone.
Hey Mike, thanks so much these are just what I needed! What a great job you did on your build. Did not get that involved with mine yet. Some engine bay paint, frame too but only removed the core support to facilitate replacing the engine and trans as a unit. Painted my engine black.
Love the a/c conversion. Is there a kit for that? If so may I ask where you got it? I'm certain my compressor is toast after sitting in the desert for 15 years before I got the truck.

Thanks again sir.
Thanks for the kind words, I'm happy to help.
There really isn't a kit per se. I bought the conversion bracket from Nostalgic Air in Tampa, FL. Aftermarket Air Conditioning For Automobiles and AC parts They have two versions of the bracket. On the one I used the compressor is fixed and uses the stock idler pulleys to adjust belt tension. The other you can pivot the compressor to tighten the belt.
You will also need to either have custom hoses made or get adapters to mate the factory hoses to the Sanden compressor. I went the custom hose route. Any good A/C shop should be able to make the hoses.
Another thing that I did on mine was to fab a small bracket to tie the compressor to the top of the bracket
