So, I have 15x8 aluminum rims. I DO NOT want the snap on balance weights and the tape on ones just don't stick. I have been hearing a little about this "Dyna bead" stuff. Have any of you used them? What are the pros and cons? Last HOW do you like the way this stuff performs? I have read the article but I still would like to have some feedback (good or bad). Thanks. John
they work great in off-road tires where it is impossible to get the tires to balance. Never tried them in a 'normal' street tire.
Some of my Jeep buddies swear by it. You throw them in, drive the car like normal and they open up via centrifugal force and balance the wheel for you. You can actually feel it happen when you are driving. You go from rough and bouncy to nice and smooth.

I've used them in my motorcycle front wheel. My rear has a solid aluminum wheel but they were able to balance it by putting the weights on the back side, might be an option for you if you don't go with the beads.
Come to think of it, my truck doesn't have weights on it either but they were on there when I first bought the truck so I may have em and don't know it.
I have ran lead shot in a couple sets of tires, and a buddy of mine has done the same in several. I think the smallest tires he has done are 32s. It works just like poison oil racing said.
After the beads settle and the wheels are balanced, do they stick in place? Or do they fall back to the bottom of the inside of the tire every time the truck stops?

Sure the tape on ones want to fall off but if you put a strip of duct tape over them and seal them to the rim they'll be there till your tires rot off the rims.
I've been running tape ones on motorcycles for years. Never had one come off. Buy the good motion pro ones and they stick like crazy. Also clean the spot real well where they go. I'd bet that's your problem more than anything else.

Thanks for the response guys. I did however FAIL to metion that this is a show and go Truck. So I don't want the weights showing. There is a dyna bead dealer in another city about an hours drive from me. If I can, I will stop in and check this out farther.

The lead shot falls each time. It re-balances as you start up again.
