FlatRateTech - sad

This is hilarious. It is supposedly coming from professional Techs and mechanics.

Looking at an 06 6.0 power stroke - 7.3L & 6.0L POWERSTROKE - FlatRateTech

Lost all respect for that site! This site (FTE) and a few others have consistently been a good source for the facts. Others have gone downhill. Thanks FTE.

Its stuff like that why we as Ford techs have to overcome the (Incompetent dealer techs, thievery in the "stealership",etc before we can even begin repairs on a vehicle.

Wow that's a pretty pathetic site. I went and read some other posts and I wouldn't ask them to fix my lawn mower.

Folks like you, Mike, Moe, and others have my utmost respect. It is not just your knowledge and principles, but you guys are so willing to help others in addition to your professionalism.

Many times we do not realize how fortunate we are to have you all participating here!

Thanks Vince!

Ok no one is gonna say it ???
They sound like a&&holes. I'm glad they found each other. They belong right where they are. And Cheezit is right...when you are good, respect your customer and yourself...you'll never go hungry. The techs here are not the same species as those on that site!

Wow, disappointing to hear that coming from the "pros". I do hear this kind of stuff from some of the people I work with, many of whom have never ridden in a diesel pickup made by anybody!
As you well know it's fairly easy to get good service and enjoy theses trucks if you know what to watch for and have the skills to keep it serviced well. These guys should know most of this also if they're going to charge people to repair their trucks. Unfortunately, if you don't have the skills or interest to "do it yourself", you have a good chance of meeting some guys just like these posters who will be happy to get in your wallet (just like they are implying Ford did) which adds to the bad rep.

Shoot, Mark -- that is a knee slapper!!!

I almost joined the site just so I could take on the chevy lovin' Retired Master Mechanic!

But then I got to the bottom and saw the real-time user stats: 1 Guest, 0 Members and Zero anybody else anywhere near the site.

I'd have hated to waste my breath - 'er wrists (carpal -- too many years in the 'puter field).

Made my day tho, you did -- I'll spray the weeds in the yard tomorrow

Those guys sound like the old mean *****ers that I've worked with at the Ford dealership that are upset with flat-rate. We don't have any of those kind of guys in the dealership I work for now, but I have seen it. There are a lot of guys that work on vehicles for 20+ years and they let it get to them that they are entitled to over-charging.
