first off ive done my 20+ years. fees charged are fees charged, many people dont like the price o-well.
if you do your job, do it timly and correctly the first time, people will pay and they will pay well and come back time and time again.
make sure you charge acording to your ability, provide a quality service at a price point that is good for you and the customer and you will do well.

Truer words cannot be spoken, and they cross a huge slice of relationships mind you...
Wow, I guess that Saltmine guy really has it figured out. I never knew my 2005 that just turned over 60k was such a POS. I have really just kept up on maintenance and it seems to be fine. The paint is still beautiful too.
I say we should all take the haters out back and beat their a***s then put them in a room with no windows and a light that stays on 24/7 also have pics of nothing but 6.0s so that's all they see for the rest of their lives. Am I being a little harsh here? Yes my rig threw me a couple curve ***** but is by far the best truck I've ever owned. Wouldn't by anything else. Screw the haters
Who, me????? No it was in the original post. All we have around here is school crossing guards and some of them are pretty BEEFY! !!!!!!!
Nah, just talking in general. The guy complained about driving over a cattle guard at 60 MPH and it being scary. Well yea, I'd have to agree. It's meant to keep cattle in an area, not be a smooth transition.
Drive over a Cattle Guard at 60 MPH? ????
Shucks son you ought to come to the Big City,
we got electric lights and everything

I didn't see any in my travels in IA, but out here further west, 60-MPH cattleguards DO exist.
OK.. well, maybe not "officially" 60-MPH, but certainly ones that are meant to be traveled over at speed, versus the kind you typically see at the entrance to a farm or oil well location, where you are stopped to open a gate. That's the whole reason for their existence: so you don't HAVE to stop when crossing a fence-line.
Just like any culvert or bridge, if the lead-in and lead-out transitions aren't properly designed and maintained, they can be quite the adventure.
As for the site itself, it wouldn't open in Firefox.... I actually had to get out Internet Exploder.... like... eeeewwwwww!
The responses that I could see: Bitter, party of one, your table is ready.
But then I got to the bottom and saw the real-time user stats: 1 Guest, 0 Members and Zero anybody else anywhere near the site.
well, it's the net. you can't expect a lot...
i've mentioned more than a couple times here that this little
corner of the internet is pretty remarkable. i've never gotten
bad information here from the regulars, and i've tried to give
back where i know something that might be helpful.
hell, cheezit isn't active in the repair industry any more, and
he still shows up to help.
between here, and a code reader..... and a decent diesel shop
to do what i can't do.... i'm pretty ok with keeping my 6.0
running from here on out.
so a note of thanks is in order. like i've said here before, i don't
know why you guys do what you do, but i'm sure glad you do it.
These guys must work at some really bad dealerships cause they are the most miserable SOB's I've ever saw.......just my observation. Maybe they think we should go back to horses and buggies and find a solution for flies
Well, the main poster there went into a lot of (mostly incorrect) observations about what he didn't like and pretty much hit every manufacturer. Post would have been much more interesting if he had pointed out something he DID like.
