No start, and fixed
Never tuned. Original owner. Stock except for the EGR fell off.
Ran fine. Two hours later no start. Turned over fine, just no hint of fire. Batteries are brand new.
I suspected it was the FICM, and this is the point where I should relate the voltage, but my voltmeter also decided to quit so I went on faith. Sent it off to FICM Repair.
While I had some downtime I removed the HFCM to clean it. Time well spent and I'd recommend every 6.0 owner should consider doing that.
So I got the FICM back. The truck had been idle for so long (my fault, rough year so far financially - FICM Repair was lightning fast for their part) I expected a rough start, assuming the FICM was the culprit in the first place. It started on the second crank and just purrrrrred. Truly better than new. I literally ran into the house yelling at my wife "DO YOU HEAR THAT?!?" Strangely, she didn't share my enthusiasm. Women....
No drive reports yet because the registration and inspection expired, but the little jaunt through the neighborhood was brilliant. Eager to see if the Eco tune shows any appreciable difference. Runs awesome though, I know that much already.
