Hi I am new to this forum but a life long ford owner. My current vehicle is a 2000 f350 PSD crew cab. I have a problem that I can't seem to fix and was wondering if anyone out the might know where to look.
I have no brake lights and when the truck is running the abs light is on. The strange part about it is when I turn on the headlights the abs light goes out and the turn signals (on the dash only) light up. The other thing I have noticed is since this problem started a few days ago my wait to start light does not light up when switching on the ignition.
Could my problem be the ignition switch itself?
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
I,m thinking Body control module may be bad . Did this happen after a rain storm ? Water gets in and kills them . Many posts on here about bad body modules .Some call it the GEM module .
No rain when it started acting up but I was thinking it could possibly be that myself just not real sure what would have caused it to go bad. Truck was formally a fleet vehicle I'm thinking construction because of all the dirt on and in it. Could that cause the gem module to just quit working?
