Heads Up Display

Has anyone added a HUD to their EX? Ive been looking at aftermarket ones. Looks like very simple plug and play via OBDII port.

I just typed in Heads up Display in eBay and there are about a 1/2 dozen different aftermarket ones that would work. All are under $200

The Android torque app has an option to reverse the display on your smartphone or tablet so it functions as HUD when set on the dash. Even with a bright display, on a top end phone, its hard to see in daylight. The bigger problem is the laminate layer in the safety glass. It produces a second/ghost image which I find to be annoying. I don't know if that would be a deal breaker for you, or if the AM HUD guys offer a solution, but you might want to question the HUD manufacturer about the issue if you think it might be a problem. Vehicles with factory HUD have special treatments in the display areas of the windshield to improve image quality.
