Aussi heads "?"

Anyone have a source for 302C Aussi heads? Reasonable?

I've seen them on ebay rebuilt for $600.00 a pair, but I was just wondering if anyone has a cheaper source?

The only thing I've read about was that there was once a supplier out of San Francisco. Thats all Know.

Dsc motorsports ususally has them. I know he sells them bare, he may also assemble a set if you like.

I've seen those on ebay for $250/pair. Those need rebuilding, though.

Yes, bare castings go for about $170 Aus which is about $220 US, but then you have to get them shipped.

Have a great day,
Doc

These weren't bare....they had springs, pushrods, vavles, everything....

But they looked VERY used. Probably would be a good idea to replace everything, anyway. And yes, shipping is a bear....

you might as well consider them bare they have the stock valves, springs, and everything else. They are about the same as buying 2v heads from the junk yard, and you should consider that you are going to do the same to the aussie heads as you would a used set of heads from a wrecker.

Stock on Aussie heads isn't the same as stock on 2V heads. But I see your point.

not sure what you mean by that the stock aussie heads use the same size, and type of valves, springs, and retainers as stock american open 2v heads the only difference between aussie heads, and the american 2v open heads is the combustion chamber, and what they are actually used on the american 2v is on hte 351c 2v (and actually the 351c 2v in australia uses the same open chamber heads), and the aussie CC 2v heads are actually used on the 302c

The 2V heads come stock with 2.04 intake valves and the Aussie heads I have seen usually use 2.12 or larger valves. I know that the 2V heads will take up to a 2.19 valve, but that is not stock. I though that the Aussie heads came with larger stock intake valve, although all of them seem to interchange with one-another.

nope they don't come with the 2.12" valve someone has put that in, I was running a set on my race engine, and when I got them they had 2.04 valves (I still have them infact sitting in a box on the shelf), and I upgraded them to 2.10" titanium valves and when I did that the seats did have to be cut.

The used set I saw on ebay for $250 had 2.12 valves and I just assumed they were stock since they were old and dirty and needed re-working.
