Instrument Cluster problem

I have a 2006 F350 SD Diesel with a instrument cluster problem. It blanks out and I loose all readings on the cluster, power windows, stereo and interior lights. After reading up on it I opted to replace it. My instrument cluster part number is 6C3T10849KA will 6C3T10849EC,6C3T10849ED,6C3T10849EE work?

I am having exactly the same issue. The problem is intermittant and lasts for various time periods. Did replaceing the entire cluster fix the problem?

if you change the cluster you have to have ford reflash it our the whole truck wont work its so you cant put a lower mileage cluster in it ford has to do this they have the programing take the replacement with you and then hang on to your pants

I was under the presumption that the mileage was stored on the computer not on the cluster - so even if you swapped it out it would still show correct numbers. anyway i still need a solution to the original issue.

I would check the instrument cluster connection and see if there is a loose or corroded pin also check to make sure the connections on back of alt. are good

Did you preform an instrument cluster self diagnostic test?? it might tell you the problem

2005 and newer clusters must be flashed by ford, so that all the options of the truck work with new cluster.

I got it "flashed" programed to my vehicle and it works. Cost $130.00 with tax but well worth the it without the problems.
