Ok guys, I'm having a hard time finding a straight answer for this. I have a 2007 f250 Lariat 6.0 diesel. My speedometer burned out the other day. Ford dealer says I need a new cluster which is fine with me, I just dont care for the price. If I buy a used cluster, can I change it myself. Does the trucks computer hold the mileage and engine hours or does the cluster have to be programed? Also, are there any security features that would prevent me from changing out the cluster myself?
