rail mount fuel pump
Sometime back I found a wire hanging under the left rail and found it was from the 2nd fuel pump. Since the tank pump stopped again and it would not start I made a temp connection to the coach interior light relay in the engine compt. I can't find where it was originally connected.
Would it have been to the fuse block under the left dash?
Eventually your advise will cure all my problems.

I have no idea about the wire, but if it would run without the high pressure pump (the one on the frame rail), it sounds like someone replaced the intank low press pump with a high pump and disconnected the high pump on the rail. I have heard of some people replacing the high pump with a upgraded one and disconnecting the in tank pump but never the other way around. Newer fords come with just one in tank high pump w/o the frame rail pump. That may be what yours was replaced with.
