Well my pressure line blew out of my power steering pump yesterday and I replaced it. I topped off my power steering with Mercon 5 transmission fluid and its still whining when I turn the wheel. Have I missed something or did I damage my power steering pump?
I've been battling ps problems for years I have a 99 f350 SD replaced pumps, steering boxes, hydroboost, ball joints tie rod ends, even read how to bleed the system I've been a auto tec for 40 years and I've never seen anything like these trucks, I even removed the pressure valve in the pump and raised the pressure I can dead head it and get over 3000 psi, but it still doesn't help the steering, the tires are Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 LT 315/75R16 Load E 10 Ply AT All Terrain and some threads say that you just have to live with it, so does anyone have a good solution to help it without replacing everything with aftermarket parts
