Hi guys I have been fighting with my dome light not working. It will not come on with any of the doors open or using the light switch. I also always have the door ajar light on. I have tried spraying WD-40 into the door, replacing the bulb and checking the fuses with no luck.
I had issues with my courtesy and dome lights not working. My issue turned out to be the fuse box itself. Water had entered the cab down the door/windshield. I had to remove it and look very closely to see the black roasted circuitry. Look for signs of water down by your fuse box and GEM module. Google it and you will get lots of info with wiring diagrams etc.... good luck
Ok so stupid me I have been checking the wrong spot & fuse. So I found that the #14 fuse is missing (must have been removed from the previous owner) So now im changing my problem to all the light stay on all the time.
Apparently, previous owner had the same issue....Being a supercab, you only have two switches to check. One in each front door. I had a bad one in my drivers door. Being as how I do not have any power options anyway, i cut the wire in the door jamb to disable the light and the beeper when sitting when the door open talking to customers. My thoughts were that i could just roll the switch if i wanted the light from the drivers side.
I am not recommending it to you but it was my way of fixing the light and killing the beeper at the same time.
Well I took apart the door today and found the bad switch. The hard part was finding one. Called 3 different stores that did not have them and told me they could no longer get them. Finally found one and had them hold it for me. You could say the old one has seen better days.
Also does anyone know what the normal delay is for the lights to turn off?
Ok how did you get to the switch? I'm starting to get a problem with my driver side door, i can't roll the windows up until the driver door is closed. All i need to know is how to get to the switch. Thanks

You have to pull the inside of the door off and then unbolt the handle and the latch from the door. It sounds a lot worse than it really is. took me maybe 30 min.
