I bought a new cargo light pad from LMC truck. It doesn't seal very well between the pad and the truck (it's ok between light and pad). There's almost a gap at the top where the pad is widest. When you try to tighten down the sheet metal screws, they are easy to strip and you end up having to use bolts/nuts.
Is the Dennis Carpenter part (OEM/Ford I think) a better fit and/or made from a stiffer rubber?
The one I bought from DC worked great. I thought the cargo pad from LMC was just one from DC anyway. I think there is only one way for it to go on. I don't think you can put it backwards, but I can't remember.

The one I got from LMC doesn't 'look' like Ford. It was packed in a plastic bag and most of their stuff is from offshore (Taiwan/China).
I know I have it on right - there's only one way that it goes. May just have to put some sealant up there on the top edge/lip. any suggestions?
I'd try and send it back and get another one. If not, other than sealant maybe get some waterproof foam insulation and stick it on the back to seal up against the cab.
