Yes and yes. I just bought the domestic bundle, I know more money, but I have other vehicles that I could use it on.

Sorry... wrench-turning and prepping for a big weekend. I think I have a good AE link in my signature.

*Edit* Not what I thought. Search for "AE class is in session" by me. Many tips on getting started with the software.

AE is a wonderful tool to have, but I would take a look at DP's Infinity. No laptop needed and will do everything AE will except change tire size..
Infinity - DP-Tuner TV

As to the price to pay, 700 vs. 350. either will do the job right. If u have extra cash laying around, go for Infinity. Otherwise, AE is a wonderful choice with all the forum support money can not buy (Tugly's AE class).

Im in the process of doing this to. Has there been any updates to the AE software, or plans in the future to be able to run it off tablets? I really dont use computers anymore except for the desktop for buisness. Almost everything I do, and mounted in the truck is for tablets.

Be damn sure you're willing to buy something that will not be supported forever. I know I'll never buy an AE again after the "planned obsolescence" that they build into their software updates and authorization codes.

OK, Fat Diesel: I'm going to test the 2010 "dedicated report-back tech thread poster" award with these two questions:

1. If not AE, what would you buy, if anything, today?

2. What do you think of DP Infinity as an AE engine analysis alternative?

(I'm kinda wondering if we should all kick in $10 ea as class tuition to Tugly so that he can buy an Infinity and hold class on it ...)

AE class is as much about readings from any scan tool as it is about controlling AE. We do discuss the data... so there's that.

Buuut if you guys want to kick an Infinity over here... I'd discuss the controls on the forum.

Hey! Where'd you come from? We are talking about you behind your back. Go back to class.

(I was also wondering if DP would give you a discount so you could explain it to us. No doubt, they will sell more quicker the quicker we understand it.)

I'm just about ready to buy the infinity. I'm hoping that it will not make my head explode. I have no idea what kind of learning info it comes with. It sounds like none, if a previous thread was asking about how to program the alarms and not one response to the question.
I'd be willing to kick in some cash so tugly could buy one and have a dedicated thread for it.

If you guys have any questions at all about the Infinity, feel free to contact me. I would be happy to give you the info you are looking for.

The Infinity is extremely user friendly, and most who purchase them have them figured out within an hour or two of first using them. There are also instructions available HERE which will help you understand all of the functions and how to use the unit.

We also have a video channel on our website which features the Infinity and how to utilize all it has to offer. That video channel can be seen HERE.

Again, don't hesitate to shoot me an e-mail or PM with any questions

personally, I am no good with computers and could not find AE for dummies...
Infinity is super easy and is a lot faster than AE..Here is a couple of pics of it mounted in my truck..

Nice, neet and out of the way..Ready for any issue that comes along..You and start data logging at any second and it backs up 90 seconds to catch that famous hick-up..Like I said AE is good but then the lap top has to be in the truck..Pricing well, AE and a taptop is way more than Infinity, seeing most are using tablets which the last I heard AE will not work with.. There just my 02..
