Neutral transmission switch
Hello, new to this so maybe a dumb question. Bought 02 350 DRW, started hard first day, now not cranking. Seen a post on neutral transmission switch and mine is not lining up, but do you adjust the rod out of transmission also? I was able to match lines on switch but with flanges on fitting it will move back out of place when moving it to fit in bolts. Thanks in advance

Hello Mhaugen and welcome to FTE.
While the neutral safety switch will prevent the engine from cranking, it will not make the engine hard to start. From your description, I don't think that the neutral safety switch is your issue.
What can you tell us about your truck besides the year and a DRW? What engine? Is it an automatic transmission?

Hard start
I replaced starter which was main issue for no crank no start, but now need to try to start 4 or more time to get it to fire up. White smoke at top of engine and alot out exhaust. Replaced ICP sensor as was bad when on tester. Noticed IHOP leak also, but is slow. What else should I be looking at for this truck taking so much cranking to get started?
