I was planning on taking it off tomorrow and cleaning is there anything I should be aware of signs that is a bad turbo and how would I know if its the vgt solenoid as opposed to the vanes sticking
Seafoam won't help bad injectors and I very seriously doubt you have a stopped up converter, although anything is possible. What kind of oil are you running and how often do you change it? Also, do you use Motorcraft filters and have you had the fuel pressure tested?
I just changed the oil today and used rotella and used motorcraft oil filters had the fuel filters changed right after I purchased the truck, I thought about giving it a try just because it may be a cheaper fix but no I haven't had my fuel pressure tested
The mechanic says the truck has 3 bad injectors and possibly a stopped up catalytic converter he suggested sea foam for the injectors to see if it would be a quick fix if not the trucks gonna have to set cause I ain't got the money for injectors
Did he see High EBP???
Iv only seen 1 or 2 plugged Exhaust come threw FTE Not Common
Don't have any gauges except what on dash I cleaned the egr valve about 2 weeks ago, ill have to check it when I get home was gonna clean the air filter also I'm at a loss don't know what it could be I'm new to the diesel world, it also had a new map sensor put on and fuel filters changed a few weeks back and had code p0069 code
