I do not have the title for the truck yet, and am uncertain of the year. Can anyone figure out the year from the badge on the inside of the driver's side door?
I believe that it is a 70, but they changed the grill to a 67-69 along with the painted bumper. The valance panel looks like a 70 model as it has elongated slots for the 70-72 turn signal lenses. Need to check the vin at the warranty sticker under the driver's door striker and off the passenger door frame rail to confirm.
I am almost positive the doors were never switched. This truck was a Josephine County Parks and Recreation truck originally, that's why there's round sticker residue on the doors.
Craig, The Go To VIN is stamped on top of the passenger side frame rail just ahead of where the axle crosses under, and again down the same rail under the cab.
And the fact that it was a parks & recreation truck would probably explain why it was ordered with a different paint color. I would think its a pretty safe bet that that is the original door/warantee plate.
Okay well I could not see any other VIN (Likely I am looking in the wrong place) but I did find this under the steering column that seems legitimate enough to prove the year of the truck along with my driver door tag;
I am under the steering column because my instrument panel is not functioning. I have driven the truck only once and the speedo gauge only goes as high as like 10 or 20 mph. The gas gauge and temperature gauge do not work at all. Anyone have any ideas?

C'mon man. What have yo done thus far as far as troubleshooting?
Check for continuity.... take the lead off the coolant sensor and the gas gauge and ground it to the chassis. Turn the ignition to "On". Do the gauges peg out? Post your results and the results of deductive reasoning. You can do it.

One other item that would help is a picture of the whole dash.
Agree that it's a '70. The "Custom" emblem on the fender was 70-72 only. Also, it has 70-72 side marker lights at the rear rather than the earlier reflectors.
