Is their any way to know what the original color was. ? I

If the plate is missing, there's no way to get the COLOR code, but '65 trucks were only painted 12 different colors...so it's not that difficult to ID which color it was.
Look under the seat to see which color it was.

COLOR code stamped on the Warranty Plate, riveted to the left door face below the latch...or to the inside of the glove box door.

It was some form of white I think. It was a Georgia power and light truck. A Napco 4x4 conversion and pto with winch.

Faaaar more trucks were painted Wimbledon White than Pure White.

And Wimbledon white it is. I think that would be a good color for a fleet vehicle
