You should be able to just pull the running light relay. It should be located behind the glove box door, infront of the heater box. There is also a fog lamp relay in this same relay box if you have fog lights also. Your headlights should function normally without the relay.
I havn't tried this so if it doesn't work just reinstall the relay.

I did the above. Manual disable/overide the DRL, didn't like my DRL on while cranking in the winter, or when parked.
