I have a 2006 F-350 6.0L. I purchased it in January and have since put a S&B cold air intake and coolant filter. I also installed a SCT SF3 programmer and an Edge Insite CTS monitor. I can only get a max of 26 psi of boost and my EBP is at 38 psi @ WOT. Also my EBP runs at 5 psi at an idle and around 18-20 psi driving down the road. What should my EBP be at as I think these numbers seem high? I have a EGR delete kit, new oil cooler and new EBP sensor, blue fuel spring upgrade, DSL Stainless 4" Turbo back cat delete exhaust and HPOP upgrade kit to install when I find the time. Any ideas as to why I have no boost? My 04' could get 35-40 psi of boost. With all this work done.
I'm running my SCT SF3 on performance mode. (+120hp)' I also put a Bullet Proof Diesel 6 phase FICM on it (set at 48v). I took it for a few more test runs and it seems to be around 13-18 psi EBP @ 60mph and 3-4psi EBP @ idle, and it peaks at about 36-38psi EBP @ WOT. The best boost I could do is 25psi. Like I said earlier my '04 could see 35-40 psi boost and I know these 6.0L are famous for blowing the intercoolers and boots when there cranked up. This truck just doesn't seem to have the pull my '04 had at (+80hp tune)
Not sure what your issue is (or even if you have one), but 35-40 psig boost is unusually high! I do know a few folks that ran boost numbers that high, but IIRC they were at or over 500 rwhp (and there are not all that many folks over 500 rwhp).
I assume you are studded (and your 04 was also studded?)?
And to check any Numbers for EBP the truck needs tune back to Stock and you will take the numbers in Park with A/C OFF at KOEO--Low Idle--High Idle (2500rpm)
Driving it and taking Numbers like you are is in an Uncontroled enviroment and too many varibles to really be accurite
