Looking for some advice/tips on removing the OEM steering stabilizer on my 2011 f350. The tapered shaft that goes into the tie rod is the part that I couldn't get out. Put about 30 minutes into the process and couldn't get it to budge. Put some Kroil oil on the shaft and will give it another try tomorrow.
Any tips/advice/suggestions?
A really big hammer, around five pounds, should take care of it. A gear puller works great and seems less abusive.
X2, but I used a tie rod seperator instead of a gear puller - the kind with the open fork that is tapered and just pounded it in at the top side to put some pressure on it and then whacked the bolt with a hammer from the bottom - popped out nice. Hope that maked sense.
I have a 2013 F350 4x4 6.2 and would like to know if the Bilstien stabilizer would tighten up my steering. This 2013 just seems squirrelly compared to my 08 F250 4x4 6.4.

There are also some clamp on dual stabilizers that you can run tandem with the OEM or aftermarket stabilizer. I run a Rancho single stab on mine along with a ProComp dual stabilizer.
Finally got around to this project...jacked the front of the truck up so the tie rod wouldnt interfere with my puller...put the 2 jaw puller on and after a couple of attempts at alignment...POP.... came loose rather abruptly. Little anti seize on the bilstein stabilizer and back together she went.
20 minutes with the right tool.
I'll comment on the effects after a test drive.
Thanks for all the suggestions !!!!!

congrats, and never use a pickle fork, they always tare up the boot on the ball joint
Had a short test drive today after the install. Here are my 2 cents worth.
Noticeable reduction in the amount of "wandering".....the truck seemed more stabile and required a little more effort to displace it.
Quicker return to centered position after a turn at speed.
I have 60k on my truck and the stock michelin tires.
