coolant randomly going somewhere

when you have the hood popped and looking at the motor it is on the bottom right corner

The leak wouldn't have to be in the core to let air into it, check the lines coming out into the engine bay. One is usually routed to the throttle body, which could be your leak itself. A leak in the throttlebody area could introduce air, as well as make coolant vanish as it ingests it into the engine while it's running.

I'm not positive you are set up that way, but it's a possibility.

well i found out that my mechanic drained some and started it, than added some and that it most likely went down as the air got burped out of the system. we will see if that holds up in the future but for now i am very relieved

You need to go and get a radiator pressure tester you can rent one from your parts store and if you still don't find it when you change your oil drain some into a mason jar and let it sit over night and it will separate if there's water or coolant in there
