i am surprised @Mark Kovalsky never replied after you answered his question, i was expecting him to say torque the valve body or Xyz is bleeding down.... me thinks it is in the trrsns/converter so was hoping mark could pin point it.
i have to believe after all these years you have checked the fluid level ?
do you have forscan ? check the fuse gor OBD power if you cant connect.
Cody had a thought as to why my Ex behaves in a similar fashion, and he had to adjust my tune accordingly. I can't remember what he told me (not surprising anymore) but maybe he'll have a thought.
I thought it was normal, like a kind of engine/transmission safety that wouldn't let you beat it when first cold. It takes a few minutes or so of idle or 100-200 yards of driving before it gets normal. But it only seems to do it like I said if it sits for like 8 hours or more and it cools like below 50f, not exactly sure because because progressively more or less noticeable depending on ambient temperature.
To me it sounds like injectors If «everything» acts like normal or it runs and drive like normal after a few minutes of idling - it goes towards injectors.
Its quite «normal» when having worn out injectors to have this behaviour - it’s a tell tell sign.
Problem here is that you cannot perform a contribuiton test before the oil have a certaint temperature - above some 52 F. I think. I normally cange the oil, do a contribution test, check freeze frames, sensors and codes - if all check out good I’ll go after the EBP valve and waste gate actuator.
I have been doing a lot of injectors lately due to age and neglect and for most part they where similar to your problem - lack of power when cold, goes away after It warms up.
Do your research and tests before you go after injectors as they are expensive. There are good videos on YouTube about howe to - dieseltech ron - Ron Huxell are one of them.
