Drove in traffic the other day and the truck skipped, like it shut off for a split second, but could continue to drive, happened 3 times within 30 min. Today was sitting at a red light and when i pushed the throttle to take off , it shut down on me. It cranked right up and i drove home. almost at the house , i idled down the road and it felt like the engine was speeding up for a short second...
here are some facts on the truck :
240k mls
7 old , one rebuild injector
new uvch and pick tails
new “used” IDM
new icp
cleaned ipr
oil ok, 2000mls
pcm re flashed by ford a while back
bullydog 6 pos programmer
did complete A&E test couple month back and all was good (except injector buzz test)
no check engine light on.
Fuel bowl leaks and will be replaced this weekend
overall the injectors are noisy, and when i let off the gas to slow down, the rpm drops way down and then recovers at idle.
I know what you mean! I've dumped close to 3 grand in mine, and I still have problems! But, in your case this one isn't bad. The CPS is only about $30 and takes 5 mins. to change
why does this one specify 96.5 and newer .. i thought 95 and up are the same ?
how does this price compare to ford? anybody knows?
