The last owner of my truck stored it in a barn each winter. To keep mice out of it they put moth ***** in the cab. Now it stinks of the month ***** and everyone comments about the bad stink. Besides replacing the seat and carpet any ideas on to get this stink out of the cab are appreciated.
I would remove the seat and carpeting and set it out in the sun for as long as it takes...leave the cab open and let it air out at the same time...then wipe down all the hard surfaces (where the moth ***** can't penetrate). If there is still a lingering odor, get some incense in your favorite scent and burn it in the ashtray...or other fireproof container...
I would follow the advice above first. If you still have lingering odor after that, find a detailing shop and ask them to ozone treat your cab. It usually costs between $50.00 and $100.00.
The local waste company uses a product called "fresh cab" in the garbage trucks. I'm sure its just covering the smell up but it might be worth a try. Ace Hardware has it.
X2 on Fresh Cab works better than moth ***** to keep "Mickey" and friends out of you truck in storage. I use it in the camper too for the past three years and no mice.

Sprinkle some baking soda on the carpet, or you could mix some with water and spray it inside the cab, hope this helps
Meow: Heat "Johnny Cat" cat litter in a frying pan in the oven for one hour at 350 degrees, then place pan on floor of truck...use cardboard to protect carpet from burning.
Roll windows up, make sure doors are closed tight. Cat litter will absorb odors and moisture, also works to dehumidify gun safes.
Ozium available from autoparts stores, dealers usually spray it in A/C/heater/defroster vents to mask cigarette/cigar smoke. It works for awhile, but odors soon return.
